Ordinance No. 2024-O-17 was adopted by City Council in December 2024 authorizing the use of the City’s official website for the posting of notices as required by the provisions of the City of Centennial Home Rule Charter. Legal notices posted here include notices of public hearings, proposed legislative actions and final legislative enactments.

Public comment will be allowed at the public hearing of the proposed item. For more information on the item, please visit the City’s meeting page.

Notice of City Council Public Hearing:

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Centennial, Colorado will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 7 p.m. regarding Ordinance 2026-O-03: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTENNIAL, COLORADO, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 2025 COLORADO WILDFIRE RESILIENCY CODE AND THE 2025 COLORADO WILDFIRE RESILIENCY CODE STATE MAP; ADDING A NEW ARTICLE 16 TO CHAPTER 18 OF THE CENTENNIAL MUNICIPAL CODE; AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS. The public hearing will be held in person at 13133 E. Arapahoe Rd., Centennial, Colorado 80112. Copies of Ordinance No. 2026-O-03 are available for inspection by the public on the City’s website:  www.centennialco.gov.  

Copies of the 2025 edition of the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code are on electronic file with the City Clerk and are available for public inspection. The 2025 edition of the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code is published by the Wildfire Resiliency Code Board, 1697 Cole Blvd, Unit 200, Lakewood, CO 80401. The Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code establishes minimum regulations to safeguard life and property by mitigating wildfire risk. These regulations address wildfire-resistant construction, defensible space, and measures intended to reduce the risk of fire spreading from wildland areas to structures and between structures and wildland fuels.

Arapahoe Rd., Centennial, Colorado 80112, and must be received by 1 p.m. on April 7, 2026. Any written comments received will be read into the record during the Public Hearing. Citizens wishing to speak during the Public Hearing must attend the City Council Regular Meeting which will be held on April 7, 2026, at 7 p.m. at 13133 E. Arapahoe Rd., Centennial, Colorado 80112.

First reading of an ordinance may be by placement on the City Council’s Consent Agenda for such meeting. Second reading of an ordinance is considered at a meeting not earlier than six (6) days following the first reading of the ordinance. A public hearing, at which comments from the public are heard, occurs with the second reading of the ordinance. The full text of the ordinance, with any amendments, is again publicized on this website within three (3) business days after final passage of the ordinance. Ordinances become effective thirty (30) days after final publication on the City’s website (Section 2-1-110).
