Apply or Renew a Contractor License

Step 1.Gather Required Information

Please have the following required documents ready to upload:

• Your business's General Liability certificate of insurance with the City of Centennial as the certificate holder
• Your business's Workers' Compensation certificate of insurance with the City of Centennial as the certificate holder, or a City of Centennial Workers' Compensation Waiver(PDF, 230KB)
• Testing credentials if necessary

Step 2.Select Professional License Type

First time users will need a valid email address to set up an account. It takes about 5 minutes to create a new account.

Instructions for applying for a permit/plan on the Self-Service Portal.

• Login to the Self-Service Portal
• Select the type of license you want

Apply For License

Step 3.Submit Your Application

It takes up to one business day to process your application.

Once your application is submitted a contractor's license number will be assigned.

Step 4.Payment Information

You will receive an email when the invoice and fees are available.

Please log back into the Self-Service Portal, scroll down to the "My Invoices" section and add to cart. We accept Visa and MasterCard with a 3% convenience fee and E-Checks with no convenience fee.

In person assistance available at our office:

Hours: Monday – Tuesday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Wednesday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Thursday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Work stations are available to access the Self-Service- Portal and complete your professional license application.

Step 3.Submit your application

It takes up to one business day to process your application.

Once your application is submitted you will be assigned a contractor license number.

Step 4.Pay Online

You will receive an email when the invoice and fees are available.
