Centennial Youth Commission

The Youth Commission is a group of teens (ages ranging from 13-18) formed by the Centennial City Council to provide a voice for the youth of Centennial.

They participate in City-wide events, develop community programs, performs community service projects and participate in the policy-making process.

You can get involved and learn more on our Youth Commission page.

As a part of the Youth Commission, you will develop community programs, service people in Centennial and give input to City Council.

Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Youth Citizens’ Academy

"The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Youth Citizens’ Academy gives you an inside look at the sheriff’s office from patrol to detention to investigations to our specialty teams like the Bomb Squad, K-9 and HAZMAT."

Five-day summer academy for teens ages 14 - 18.

By joining a five-day academy at the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, you will get an inside look of serving as a sheriff in the community.

South Metro Fire Explorer Program

"This program is in cooperation with the South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR), Learning for Life Exploring and other host fire agencies, is to offer young men and women real life experiences, training and exposure to the career opportunities in the fire service. Second, it provides a reliable and effective means for preparing and eventually recruiting the firefighters of tomorrow from our surrounding communities."

While participating in South Metro Fire Rescue Explorer Program, you will gain valuable insight into the fire service profession, take part in hands-on career activities and have the opportunity to ride along with a South Metro crew.

South Suburban Parks & Recreation
