Homelessness

Homelessness is a complex problem significantly impacting our community and the Denver Metro area. In recent years, Centennial has seen a visible increase in the number of homeless encampments and individuals along the City’s streets. The 2022 Point in Time Count identified 514 people experiencing homelessness in Arapahoe County.

What We Are Doing

The City of Centennial partners with Arapahoe County and other local organizations to address homelessness in the community. This includes efforts via Arapahoe County’s Centennial Homeless Outreach Liaison, who provides support to individuals and families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. The Liaison coordinates and strengthens partnerships between local agencies and nonprofits and proactively implements outreach and rehousing efforts with the goal of providing necessary support and opportunities to those currently unsheltered or at risk of becoming unhoused.
