Trash and Utilities

The City does not provide cable, internet, telephone, gas, electricity, trash, water or sewer service. For more information regarding these services please contact the following companies.

Use the Centennial Property Search to help you locate your electric/natural gas utility provider and your water and sanitation district that serves your address.

Cable, Internet and Telephone

Decisions about cable and internet services should be made by the homeowner, keeping in mind providers vary throughout the area, and each may offer different services.

Gas and Electric

Xcel Energy and CORE Electric Cooperative provide gas and electricity utilities to the area.

Trash Pickup and Recycling

Trash and recycling services are provided by private companies in the City of Centennial, with each provider operating on their own pickup schedule.

Some HOAs throughout the City have contracted with one trash provider in an effort to receive favorable rates and reduce truck traffic in neighborhoods. If you are interested in organizing one trash provider for your neighborhood, review the Neighborhood Trash Collection Toolkit(PDF, 361KB) for insight into the process which includes a survey for neighbors and tips for creating proposals for potential vendors.

Denver Water Lead Reduction Program

Centennial gets much of it’s water through Denver Water distributors.

Although the water that Denver Water provides to customers is lead-free, lead can enter the water as it moves through lead-containing household fixtures, plumbing and water service lines owned by the customer. View Denver Water’s Lead Reduction Program page for details on how to reduce lead.
