This award represents the highest level of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. Centennial’s report was evaluated by an independent panel and recognized for meeting high standards of transparency and clearly communicating the City’s financial story.
“This recognition reflects our commitment to transparency and making it easy for our community to understand how public funds are managed,” said City Manager Matt Sturgeon. “Our team takes pride in delivering clear, accessible financial reporting each year.”
The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program encourages governments to go beyond standard reporting requirements to provide clear, comprehensive financial information. Earning this distinction reflects Centennial’s continued commitment to transparency and helping the community better understand how public funds are managed.
