Tammy Maurer

Council Member, District 2

When did you move to Centennial?

I moved to Arapahoe County in 1983.

Why did you move here?

Nice neighborhood and heard schools were good.

What do you like most about living in Centennial?

The parks, trails, and neighborhoods.

Why did you decide to run for City Council?

I always enjoyed working on the City’s studies, committees, and boards. Since I have experience with working at a public agency in addition to working with cities in Colorado, I was familiar with many aspects and challenges to operating and planning the future of Centennial. I love living in Centennial and am passionate about continuing to make our City a great place to live and work.

What are your primary goals as a Council Member?

Transportation is one of Centennial’s biggest challenges today and in the future. My goal is to help the City and Council find opportunities that will support improvements to the existing system, as well as to encourage innovation in our transportation system.

Community Involvement

  • Neighborhood civic association, Ridgeview Hills North, served as president for over 10 years.
  • Centennial Council of Neighborhoods (CenCON), Member and Second Vice President (Plan Review)
  • Centennial Next Committee (as citizen)
  • Prior to serving as City Council, worked with City and South Suburban Parks and Recreation on several committees for future goal setting and transportation studies.
