District 1 Council Member Amy Tharp, a resident of Centennial since 2006, has dedicated herself to creating a thriving community for her family. With a career in education spanning 34 years with Littleton Public Schools, Amy's commitment to Centennial goes beyond the classroom. Her transition to an instructional coach for over 15 years showcased her dedication to fostering educational excellence. Recently retired, Amy remains deeply engaged, substituting across all grade levels and actively participating in school accountability and educational advisory committees. Her goals for her first term revolve around maintaining Centennial's excellent quality of life, ensuring it remains an outstanding place to live, work, and grow.

Beyond her public service role, Amy's commitment extends into community service, from school committees and tutoring to contributing to social justice and active participation in faith-based communities. Amy's passion for writing, evidenced by her award-winning book "Wondrous Creatures," mirrors her commitment to educational excellence. As she navigates the Centennial trails or conquers Colorado mountains, Amy brings both experience and dedication to District 1 on the Centennial City Council.
