Denver Summit FC Calls Centennial Home
Centennial is proud to be home to Colorado's first National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) franchise. Through a partnership with the City of Centennial and the Cherry Creek School District (CCSD), Denver Summit FC has opened the CommonSpirit Performance Center and interim 12,000-seat stadium — a world-class campus that serves as the club’s permanent training home and will host home matches during the 2026 and 2027 NWSL seasons.
The project represents years of collaboration and a shared vision to create a premier destination for professional women's soccer in Centennial. It demonstrates how innovative public-private partnerships can create lasting community assets, support economic development and inspire the next generation of athletes.
A World-Class Training Campus
The 20,000-square-foot CommonSpirit Performance Center sets a new standard for professional women's sports facilities. Designed by internationally recognized architecture firm Populous, the campus features:
- Eight soccer fields, including the interim stadium
- Two natural grass training fields and dedicated agility training areas
- Elite performance and recovery amenities, including hydrotherapy, cryotherapy, strength and conditioning spaces, sports medicine resources and advanced recovery technology
- A video analysis theater, player and family lounges, and dedicated dining space
- A holistic, athlete-first design tailored specifically for female professional athletes
The CommonSpirit Performance Center serves as Denver Summit FC's permanent training headquarters, providing athletes with the resources they need to perform at the highest level while establishing Centennial as home to one of the nation's premier women's soccer facilities.
The campus offers both on-site and off-site parking, with shuttle service provided from designated off-site parking lots that are not within walking distance of the stadium.

An Interim Stadium with Long-Term Community Value
The interim 12,000-seat stadium will serve as the home of Denver Summit FC's inaugural 2026 and 2027 seasons. Following those seasons, the stadium will be reconfigured into a permanent 4,000 seat venue for Cherry Creek School District (CCSD) athletics.
Made possible through a shared investment by Denver Summit FC and CCSD — including support from the district’s 2024 voter-approved bond — this facility will:
- Create internship and learning opportunities for students in sports, health and media
- Provide 500 complimentary tickets each season for CCSD students and families
- Include a $100,000 donation to the Cherry Creek Schools Foundation
- Establish a lasting athletic home for youth and high school sports
Looking Ahead
As Denver Summit FC begins its inaugural seasons in Centennial, the CommonSpirit Performance Center and interim stadium represent the realization of a vision more than a decade in the making. Through this innovative partnership, Centennial has created a premier destination for professional women’s soccer that brings new economic opportunities, regional visitors and lasting community benefits while strengthening the City’s reputation on the national stage.
A Destination for All of Centennial
Mayor Christine Sweetland said:
"This investment in women’s sports paves the way for generations of athletes and reflects our community’s vision for progress, unity and achievement."
As Centennial continues to grow, this project positions the City at the forefront of a national sports movement — one that uplifts women, inspires youth and strengthens community identity. This investment will generate increased visibility, economic opportunity and pride to the Centennial community for years to come.
