Status: The City has a contract in place and design is almost complete.
Project Details: Design of an eight foot wide concrete/crusher fine trail from E. Caley Avenue into the Cherry Creek State Park. The proposed trail will cross two channels: Lone Tree Creek and Windmill Creek. It will also include improvements to the Lone Tree Creek channel in the State Park, where erosion has changed the creek's flow path.

Timeline: Project construction begins April 2026 and ends Winter 2027.
Project Description: The City is constructing a new culvert and dedicated underpass for bicyclists and pedestrians on the Lone Tree Creek Trail at E. Arapahoe Road. This project will improve safety and connectivity by allowing trail users to travel beneath the roadway, eliminating the need to cross traffic at the existing Revere Parkway crosswalk.

Status: Design complete and construction anticipated to begin in 2025.
Project Details: Design of a continuous east-west bike and pedestrian trail system connecting the eastern and western neighborhoods of the City.

Status: Construction was completed in May 2025.
Project Details: The trail was pulled back towards the trees in a manner to accommodate more open field space. The update improved drainage and irrigation for the park, helping longevity of the trees, and provided adequate ADA accommodations.

Status: Design complete and construction is expected to begin in Fall 2025.
Project Details: During this phase, a new 10 foot wide multi-use path will be constructed from north of E. Caley Avenue and it will connect to the existing Cottonwood Creek Trail which leads to Cherry Creek State Park via an existing under-crossing at E. Peoria Street.
