Lone Tree Creek Regional Trail - Phase IA Construction

District: 3
Status: Completed

Project Details: Phase IA of the Lone Tree Creek Regional Trail consists of a ten foot wide concrete trail from the north side of E. Arapahoe Road through Centennial Center park to E. Caley Avenue.

Lone Tree Creek Regional Trail - Phase IB Construction

District: 3

Status: Design Complete

Project Details: Phase IB of the Lone Tree Creek Regional Trail will consist of an eight foot concrete trail with a two foot crusher fines shoulder from E. Broncos Parkway to E. Arapahoe Road.

Lone Tree Creek Regional Trail – Phase II Design

District: 3
Estimated Completion Date: 2022
Status: Design in progress

Project Details: Design of an eight foot wide crusher fines trail from E. Caley Avenue into the Cherry Creek State Park. The proposed trail will require two channel crossings, one at Lone Tree Creek and one at Windmill Creek. This phase also includes Lone Tree Creek channel improvements within the State Park where the creek has developed a new flow path due to erosion.

Project Status: The City has contracted with ICON Engineering, Inc. and design is in progress.

Lone Tree Creek Regional Trail – Phase III Design

District: 3
Estimated Completion Date: 2022
Status: Design to start in 2021

Project Details: Installation of a new culvert/bike and pedestrian underpass beneath E. Arapahoe Road. This option provides a alternative bike and pedestrian crossing under Arapahoe Road and links the Phase 1A and Phase 1B trail sections. This phase includes funding from Public Works for a future deceleration lane to S. Revere Street.

Centennial Link Trail (East-West Regional Trail Connection)

District: City-wide
Estimated Completion Date: 2021
Status: On- Street Design in progress

Project Details: Design of a continuous east-west bike and pedestrian trail connecting the eastern and western neighborhoods of the City.

The City has contracted with FHU for the design. On-street segment design began in 2021 and has an anticipated completion date of December 2021.

Centennial Link Trail – Segment 10

District: 3
Estimated Completion Date: Fall 2022
Status: Construction is expected to begin in spring 2022

Project Details: During this phase, a new 10 foot wide multi-use path will be constructed from north of E. Caley Avenue and it will connect to the existing Cottonwood Creek Trail which leads to Cherry Creek State Park via an existing undercrossing at E. Peoria Street.
