Below are some resources provided by the city of Centennial for youths in the community.

Community Value Statement

In 2018, the Youth Commission worked closely with City Council and partner organizations in the community to create Centennial's first Community Values Statement, defining kindness, integrity and an inclusive community as key Centennial values.

In Centennial, we value kindness, integrity and diversity in order to build a strong, unified and inclusive community in which all citizens feel welcome and safe. In Centennial, we value protecting the community’s physical and emotional wellbeing. The City of Centennial is committed to upholding, demonstrating and living these values and takes pride in this statement.

Mental Health

The Centennial Youth Commission is committed to raising awareness for mental health to help stop the stigma associated with mental illness. With nearly half a million Colorado resident's struggling with mental health issues, it's crucial to look for areas of improvement.

Raising Awareness of Curfew Times

Local Curfew Times

Please note that this information was collected in 2023 and is subject to change. Contact local police departments to verify current regulations. 

Juveniles under the age of 18 are accountable to curfew hours in the City of Centennial.

What happens if I violate the curfew?

If you are a minor:

• You may be detained by a law enforcement officer;
• Your parents and/or legal guardians may be required to respond and take custody of you; 
• You may be issued a summons that requires your appearance in the Municipal Court;
• When making your court appearance, your parents or guardian must come with you;
• If found guilty, the Judge may impose fines, incarceration and/or probation.

If you are a parent or guardian:

• You may be detained by a law enforcement officer;
• You may be required to respond and take custody of your child;
• If you allowed your child to violate the curfew, you may be issued a summons that requires your appearance in Centennial Municipal Court;
• If found guilty, the Judge may impose fines, incarceration and/or probation.

Are there exemptions to the curfew?

Yes, the following are exceptions to curfew violations:

• When accompanied by a parent, guardian or other adult person having legal custody of such minor; or
• When the minor is engaged in lawful employment that requires the minor to violate the curfew; or
• When such minor is in the custody of or accompanied by a person who has reached his or her 18th birthday, and has in his or her possession the written consent of such parent or guardian or the person having legal care or custody of the minor.
• When the minor is legally emancipated.
