Massage Parlor Licensing Repealed

The City of Centennial repealed its Massage Parlor Licensing Program through Ordinance 2026-O-09(PDF, 241KB). The ordinance was adopted on June 19, 2026 and took effect on July 1, 2026.

What You Need to Know

As of July 1, 2026, the City of Centennial no longer issues or renews Massage Parlor licenses.

If you currently hold a City of Centennial Massage Parlor license, no action is required. Your existing City license was automatically dissolved on July 1, 2026.

Moving forward, licensing, background checks and fingerprinting requirements will be handled by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Affairs (DORA) and/or Arapahoe County and the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office. Approved fingerprinting vendors are IdentoGO and Colorado Fingerprinting.

These changes are the result of recent legislation that shifts oversight of massage businesses from local cities to the state and county levels, and establishes new fingerprinting requirements for certain business owners and employees. We encourage you to review House Bill 24-1371 to understand all the requirements that apply to your business. For questions about compliance, please reach out to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.
