With many outstanding higher education institutions, steady in-migration, and high concentrations of employment in high tech and professional service industries in the region, it is no surprise that metro Denver offers a workforce second to none. The City of Centennial is a great example of that model. More than 50 percent of Centennial’s adult residents hold a bachelor’s or advanced degree. Job Resources

Arapahoe/Douglas Works! offers a variety of no-cost services to help employers in Arapahoe and Douglas counties meet their recruitment goals and ensure a qualified workforce. They’re business development representatives are experienced in listening to employers’ needs and providing solutions to save businesses time, money, and valuable resources.  

Colorado Workforce Centers provides a variety of free services to assist employers and job-seekers alike, including job listings, career counseling and training for job-seekers, computer and internet access, tax credits and training reimbursement for employers, and pre-screening and referral services.

Colleges/Universities

  • University of Colorado-South Denver - offers undergraduate degrees, graduate programs and certifications for supplemental training or to quench for ongoing education.
  • Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine - offers education for those going into osteopathic medicine, biomedical sciences and more.
  • Arapahoe Community College - offers more than 100 programs to start a career, change fields entirely, or continue education.
  • Metropolitan State University - offers degrees in several fields, including accounting, biochemistry, economics and marketing.
  • University of Colorado-Denver - offers a wide variety of degrees and programs for all types of disciplines. Students can earn degrees in architecture and design, criminology and law, and environmental sciences and sustainability, to name a few.
  • Community College of Denver - offers more than 120 degrees and certificates in 45 different programs of study that will prepare you for a new career or for transfer to a four-year school
  • University of Denver - offers a range of degrees and certifications. More than 100 undergraduate programs in traditional majors and dual-degree programs that span a variety of disciplines, including business, education, social work, international studies, public policy and engineering.
  • Red Rocks Community College - offers numerous degrees and certificates in today's most in-demand career fields including Health Careers, Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, Computer Technology, Fire Science and Law Enforcement.
