Youth Achievement Award Application Deadline Extended to April 22

The Centennial Youth Commission and SAFEbuilt are recognizing exceptional young leaders through the Centennial Youth Achievement Award program. This recognition honors Centennial high school students who have made significant contributions to the City through service and outstanding leadership in school, the community and the workplace. Students will have the opportunity to receive awards between $500 and $1,000 to be applied toward college tuition, fees, books and supplies required for course enrollment. 

** Due to an e-mail issue, the City of Centennial did not receive any applications submitted electronically for the 2019 Youth Achievement Awards. The issue has since been resolved and the application period has been extended to April 22 at 5 p.m. If you have already applied, please re-send application materials to youth@centennialco.gov 

To be eligible for the Youth Achievement Award program, applicants must:

1. Be a high school student residing in Centennial, Colorado
2. Demonstrate outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities
3. Exhibit the ability to set and achieve goals. 

To complete the application, the applicant should:

1. Completely answer each page of the application and submit to the Centennial Youth Commission.
2. Respond to two essay questions with not more than 350 words per question.
3. Provide a letter of recommendation from an adult (non-relative) who can speak to the student’s character and community involvement. The recommendation letter must be included with the application prior to the deadline on April 22 at 5 p.m. 

The City of Centennial must receive all required application materials including adult recommendations by the April 22 deadline.
