Apply for a Residential Parking Permit

Residents living near Arapahoe High School or Smoky Hill High School may need a parking permit to lawfully park on the street in residential areas within Centennial.

For the Arapahoe High School parking permit district, a permit is required to be displayed on any vehicle parked on a street in the district during the school year Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.  For the Smoky Hill High School parking permit district, a permit is required to be displayed on any vehicle parked on a street in the district at any time (every day of the year, any time of the day).  The owner of a vehicle parked on a street in a parking permit district not properly displaying a parking permit during the time the parking restriction is in effect may be issued a traffic citation.

Step 1.Please review the following:

  • You MUST include proof of current registration for each vehicle owned, leased or operated by the resident in the parking permit district. For vehicle registrations not matching the address of the residence in the parking permit district, the vehicle owner shall provide proof of residency in the district, such as a current utility bill. 
  • Residents are allowed one resident parking permit for each registered vehicle.
  • Resident parking permits do not expire until the owner or operator of the vehicle move from the district and can be revoked due to misuse. 
  • Residents are also allowed a maximum of three (3) visitor passes, which will expire December 31 of each calendar year
  • First-time applicants MUST include a one-time $25 fee. The City accepts credit card payments or a check, payable to the City of Centennial.
