Are you concerned about driver behavior and safety in your neighborhood? The City wants to keep neighborhoods comfortable and enjoyable for all types of residents and roadway users.

Centennial has a comprehensive Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP). The intent is to create solutions for responding to neighborhood traffic mitigation requests.

The program's primary objectives are to:

  • Mitigate resident concerns regarding excessive traffic speeds and cut-through traffic impacts
  • Support enjoyment and quality of life for multiple modes of travel and different types of users
  • Efficiently allocate the use of public resources
  • Encourage resident involvement in responding to neighborhood traffic concerns

NTMP Application Process Overview

Step 1.Request Review

Resident requests initial assessment for the program through the Citizen Response Center, 303-325-8000.

Step 2.Pre-Screening

The City conducts a preliminary informal study of speeds and volumes in the area(s) of concern.

Step 3.Receive Official Application

If the minimum thresholds for NTMP project eligibility are met, the City will send an application to the resident. If requested, a copy of the NTMP manual will also be sent.

Step 4.Return the Completed Application

The Resident returns the completed NTMP application to the City within 30 days.

Step 5.Application Prioritization

The application will be reviewed and ranked against other applications for funding and participation consideration.

Step 6.If you Qualify

Qualifying applications become eligible for advanced traffic calming improvements.
