Kathy Turley being sworn in as Mayor Pro Tem

Centennial District 1 Council Member Kathy Turley serve as Mayor Pro Tem from March 2, 2021 until January 3, 2022. This position is elected annually and serves mayoral functions during any temporary absences of the Mayor. 

In her eighth year, as a District 1 Council Member, Turley serves as a liaison to a number of community organizations and committees, which include (not limited to): 

  • Highline Canal Working Group
  • City Council liaison to Centennial Senior Commission
  • South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
  • National League of Cities Federal Advocacy Subcommittee for Transportation and Infrastructure
  • City Council liaison to South Suburban Parks and Recreation
  • Colorado Commission on Aging Board
  • White House Conference of Aging – Governor’s Delegate

“I am grateful to my fellow Council Members for allowing me this opportunity to serve as Mayor Pro Tem, as I complete my last year serving on City Council,” says Council Member Turley. “I look forward to representing and serving Centennial to the best of my ability.”
