Arapahoe County at Level Clear and State Masking Order

As of May 16, Arapahoe County moved to Level Clear under Tri-County Health Department’s Simplified COVID-19 Dial.

Under Level Clear Arapahoe County has entered a 90-day observation period during which businesses, schools, restaurants, and other facilities will be able to open at 100 percent capacity. There are currently no further restrictions beyond the state’s mask-wearing requirements for certain indoor spaces and regulations for large events.

Arapahoe County will remain at Level Clear unless there are more than two hospital admissions per 100,000 county residents over a 14-day period.

State Masking Order

The mask-wearing requirement for Colorado was amended in Executive Order D 2021 103 on May 14.

The order states that fully vaccinated people can go without masks in public indoor spaces unless the setting requires otherwise. Unvaccinated people over age 11 are encouraged to continue wearing masks in all public indoor spaces where members of different households are present.

Masks are still required in certain settings, including in schools for unvaccinated students, teachers, and staff. Everyone must still wear masks on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation and in U.S. transportation hubs such as airports and stations as required by federal law for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.
