16th Annual Centennial Under the Stars Event

As back-to-school approaches and summer comes to an end, join us for live music and a spectacular laser light show at Centennial Center Park, 13050 E. Peakview Avenue. The 16th Annual Centennial Under the Stars event is Saturday, August 13, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.  

The Man Cubs, a five-piece band that performs Disney mega-hits in an alternative rock/pop punk style will kick off the event, followed by Jenny Shawhan with sounds reminiscent of Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge, Alison Krauss and Dolly Parton. The event’s headliner, Paizley Park, a Prince tribute band, will perform amidst the backdrop of a dazzling laser light show. 

Enjoy free face painting and various family activities throughout the evening. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. This year’s event features new activities such as Ninja Nation’s obstacle course. The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office hosting a head-shaving party for deputies and other fundraisers to benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and raise funds for childhood cancer.  

Schedule of Events: 

  • 5:30 p.m. Performance by The Man Cubs  
  • 7 p.m.  Music by Jenny Shawhan
  • 8:30 p.m. Laser light show and music by Paizley Park  

Parking at Centennial Center Park may be limited. Additional parking will be available in nearby lots. Due to the anticipated crowd at the event, pets are encouraged to stay home.  

Please remember the following when attending the event:

  • Alcohol may not be brought to any event in the park. 

  • Tents, canopies and oversized umbrellas are not allowed in the park. 

  • Blankets and chairs are welcome. 

  • No ATM is available on-site for the event, but most vendors accept credit/debit cards.
