Procurement
The Purchasing Division is responsible for purchasing equipment, supplies, and services as required by the various departments of the City, including issuing Requests for Proposals/Information and Invitations for Bid.
Purchasing procedures have been established to ensure that open, fair competitive means are used to obtain the best value for the tax dollar. As such, whenever practical, the City uses competitive methods for purchasing certain products and services, depending on the dollar value of the transaction.
Requests for verbal or faxed quotations, written quotations and/or formal Invitations for Bid and Requests for Proposals may be used in competitive selection processes. We also utilize contracts established by the State of Colorado and other governmental cooperative agreements when it is in the best interest of the City.
