For the second consecutive year, Centennial ranks as the most family-friendly city in Colorado. Based on safety, housing affordability, education quality and child-friendliness Centennial ranks 49th out of 510 cities. Flower Mound, Texas ranks as the most family-friendly city in the U.S. Apartment List used FBI data to rank cities for safety, data from the Department of Education to rank education and U.S. Census data for housing affordability and child-friendliness. Thornton, Colorado ranked number one for its safety and 110th overall.  Other Colorado cities can be found in the full report.

Centennial also ranks as the second healthiest housing market in Colorado. According to financial technology company SmartAsset, Centennial has a stable and affordable housing market where homeowners easily sell their homes. Stability, affordability, fluidity and risk of loss were the four factors considered for the rankings. Sources include data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2015 American Community Survey and Zillow. View the details of the report.

“For Centennial to be identified nationally, as a family-friendly City with a healthy housing market is a remarkable achievement. Receiving this news on the heels of ranking as the best Colorado City for first-time homebuyers makes me proud to be a part of such a worthy community,” says Centennial Mayor Cathy Noon.
