On Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to  2 p.m. at Centennial Center Park, 13050 E Peakview Ave, you can find a variety of FREE events appealing to gardeners of all ages and skill levels.

Activities include:

Plant Sale
There will be a plant sale benefiting local nonprofit Project C.U.R.E. Get ready for your best garden yet by grabbing some new plants for a great cause!
Watercolor station
Visitors can paint watercolor paintings on plantable seed paper. Seed paper is made of recycled paper and contains wildflower seeds. Create a beautiful masterpiece and watch it grow into wildflowers!

Arapahoe Libraries

Stop by Arapahoe Libraries' Bookmobile to discover a variety of gardening related books for people of all ages.

Tree Planting Demonstrations

Terracare Associates will be demonstrating how to plant trees as they plant Red Oak trees in the park. Watch the trees get planted on Earth Day, and then watch their leaves turn bright red this fall! Other demonstrations include:

Trees and shrubs are an integral part of our landscape and environment. Learn how to plant and take basic care of trees and plants.

11:30 a.m. | Mulch: Your Property’s Best Friend
Learn how beneficial mulch is to your landscape and what sources are good for mulch.

Learn the different types of plants that do well here in our own backyard.

1:30 p.m. | Start Composting Today
Have you been curious about composting? Join us in learning the composting basics!
