Personal History: Older brother was in the Marines. Twin brother was in the Navy. Volunteered for the Marines in December 1941.

Branch of Service: U.S. Marines 1942-46

Class: Tank division

Military Occupation: Iwo Jima, Mariana Islands, Saipan, Marshall Islands. He was scheduled to go into Japan when Truman dropped the atomic bomb. 

Service History: 4th Marine Division, Mariana Islands. All three brothers came through WWII. Bob was in active battle on Iwo Jima. On other islands, I was rear echelon support. Later became a barber on the GI Bill.

Commendations & Honors: Presidential Citation for Iwo Jima, Asiatic Pacific Medal

Present Location: Centennial, Colorado
