Military Occupation: USS Buck starting in 1952. He patrolled the coast of Korea and China for three years. The USS Buck was a lightweight destroyer that guarded aircraft carriers and rescued pilots. They also destroyed enemy trestles and bridges north of the 38th Parallel and conducted other special assignments. The ship had a firing range of 10 miles.
Service History: One year stateside, three years on a ship. Phone-talker for captain on the bridge for "watch station."
