Cherry Creek State Park - A scenic oasis in the Denver area offering a wide variety of water and land activities for outdoor enthusiasts. The 4,200-acre park and modern campground are open year-round. View birds and wildlife, recreate or relax with the majestic Rocky Mountains as a backdrop.

Other Regional Parks and Facilities
17 Mile House Farm Park - Residents can step back in time during a visit to 17 Mile House, which served pioneers traveling on the Cherokee/Smoky Hill wagon trails in the 1860’s. This County-designated heritage area includes a historic house, silo, barn and windmills. The County has restored the structures to their known condition in the early 1900's.
Arapahoe County Fairgrounds Park - The fairgrounds provides a variety of facilities for year-round community rental. It hosts a horse show arena, rodeo arena and 35,000 square-foot event center - the first building of several planned for the site. Park, trail and open space plans are currently under development. Amenities include a trailhead and trails, nature play area, and a multi-use field with large picnic pavilion.
Cherry Creek Valley Ecological Park - Step into a natural riparian area right in the middle of town and learn about the native plant and wildlife species that thrive in this educational nature preserve along the Cherry Creek Regional Trail. Enjoy the crusher fine trails that wind to overlooks of the small pond or meandering Cherry Creek. Stroll along the wood boardwalk that crosses the wetlands and view the pond up close. Interpretive signage within the park gives the visitor a glimpse of local natural and cultural history.
Dove Valley Regional Park - From spring to fall, this park is filled with athletes young and old. This sports park includes: eight soccer fields, one championships multi-use field, two lighted baseball diamonds, four sand volleyball courts, four picnic pavilions (with barbecues), one mile loop paved walking path and two large gravel parking areas.
David Lorenz Regional Park - The recently update park includes multi-purpose synthetic turf fields, a disc golf course, dog park and BMX track offers something for everyone.
