Metric Definition:

The total number of qualified attraction, retention, expansion, development or annexation opportunities in which the Economic Development Division is directly involved. An opportunity is qualified when it requires the Economic Development Division’s ongoing efforts and is determined to have a reasonable chance of success. .

Quarterly Performance:

The Economic Development division seeks out opportunities for business attraction, retention, expansion, development and annexation. Qualified opportunities are opportunities that require ongoing effort from the division. In Quarter 3, Economic Development engaged in 21 qualified opportunities. While this is lower than the quarterly goal (25), Staff expects to achieve the division’s goal of 100 qualified opportunities by the end of the year.
