The total number of calls received by Animal Services.

Quarterly Performance:

Animal Services received 1,029 calls for service in Quarter 4. This is slightly lower than the calls for service in Quarter 3 and less than the 3-year quarterly average of 1,590. In Quarter 1, Animal Services attributed the significant decrease in calls for service as a result of significant staff turnover and the shift in focus from proactively generating calls for service to training a brand new staff in both a full time and part time capacity. It was predicted that as the new staff got up to speed with the operations of Animal Services, the total number of calls for service would increase. The 29% increase in calls in Quarter 2 and 79% increase in calls in Quarter 3 demonstrates that this increase has occurred.
