The City is committed to being a good steward of taxpayer money while still supporting organizations that benefit the community. The majority of sponsorships/donations approved by the City are of an in-kind nature, involving the waiving of fees or contribution of goods/services. For full details and criteria, please see the City's Sponsorship/Donation Policy.

Please note that the City will NOT consider requests from the following:

  • Groups not located within the City and/or not providing a benefit to Centennial citizens 
  • Individuals
  • Religious or political groups
  • Groups that discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, marital status or national origin

For profit and corporate entities should contact the City's Economic Development Division for information on economic development incentives and partnerships.

Sponsorship/Donation Types

City sponsorship/donation requests are divided into three different categories:

  • Schools and school-related groups
  • In-kind sponsorship
  • Monetary​ sponsorship

Schools and School-Related Groups

Schools and school-related groups requesting one of the below types of sponsorship/donation should complete the School Sponsorship/Donation Request Form.

Schools and school-related groups wishing to request any other type of sponsorship/donation should instead complete either the In-Kind Sponsorship/Donation Request Form or Monetary Sponsorship/Donation Request Form.

Requests from schools and school-related groups will be reviewed by the Centennial Youth Commission. In order to provide adequate time for review, it is recommended that applications be submitted 30 days in advance

School Sponsorship/Donation Application

In-Kind Sponsorships/Donations

Not-for-profit organizations requesting any type of sponsorship/donation that does NOT involve a monetary contribution should complete the In-Kind Sponsorship/Donation Request Form. Some examples of items potentially granted as part of an in-kind sponsorships/donation include:

  • Use of the entire Centennial Center Park or the amphitheater
  • Waiving of permit and application fees
  • City marketing of an event/program

​​Requests for in-kind sponsorship/donation are reviewed by City administration. In order to provide adequate time for review, it is recommended that requests be submitted 60 days in advance.

Monetary Sponsorship/Donation

Not-for-profit organizations requesting any type of monetary sponsorship/donation should complete the Monetary Sponsorship/Donation Request Form. ​​Organizations requesting monetary sponsorship/donation may simultaneously request in-kind sponsorship/donation when completing this application. Please be aware that requests for monetary sponsorship/donation are subject to the strictest approval criteria and are reviewed by City Council on a quarterly basis. All requests must be submitted at least 120 days in advance of the desired receipt of funds.
